Corrosion Control Coating Ltd. offers undercoating rust preventive coatings for long term applications in the mining, automotive and other industrial services. Our solvent and water-based undercoating products are manufactured by Tectyl® and Corrosion Control.
SOLVENT-BASED
Solvent-based coatings are cut in mineral spirits or high flash point solvents that aid in easy application to metal surfaces. Quick to dry, leaving a firm/hard shell... these rust preventive coatings are made for long term applications.

Tectyl® 127CG +
The dry film is firm and non-tacky. Possesses dielectric strength of 800 volts per dry mil of coating and can be applied between dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion.

- Provides excellent weathering and corrosion protection for industrial applications
- Recommended for use in the transportation industry as an undercoating and sound deadener
Tectyl® 185GW BLACK +
The dry film is semi-firm and has a semi-gloss appearance. Possesses dielectric strength of 800 volts per dry mil of coating. Provides galvanic corrosion protection and can be applied on battery terminals for insulating purposes.

Tectyl® 185GW GRAY +
The dry film is semi-firm and has a semi-gloss appearance. Possesses dielectric strength of 800 volts per dry mil of coating. Provides galvanic corrosion protection and can be applied on battery terminals for insulating purposes.

Tectyl® 5164 +
Designed for the underside of highway trailers, bus bodies and automotive vehicles. Meets the requirements of Federal Specification TT-C-520B.
- A firm film undercoating material
- Provides corrosion protection, sound deadening and moisture sealing properties
Tectyl® 5166 +
Tectyl 5166 is a metallo-organic, polar type rust- proofing compound specifically designed to protect automotive body sections and complete under-carriage and inner cavity areas. This rust-proofing compound has a thin gel, but low viscosity that allows for film build on vertical surfaces and for seam penetration (capillary action) into areas with metal-to-metal overlap. The resulting film is amber in color and will repel water, self-heal, and remain flexible to prevent chipping or cracking. Daubert recommends the use of Tectyl 5166 wherever a water displacing, long term, body corrosion preventive is needed. The film of Tectyl 5166 does not build up with repeat applications. Tectyl 5166 is recommended as an annual rustproofing compound.
Tectyl® 517 +
A solvent-borne, thixotropic corrosion preventive compound designed for rustproofing transportation equipment. Tectyl® 517 is approved under military specifications MIL-C-0083933A and under MIL-C-62218A, Types I and II, QPL Reference Numbers AR-18-85 and 2-7515.

Tectyl® 518 +
A solvent-borne, thixotropic, corrosion preventive compound designed for rustproofing transportation equipment. Tectyl® 518 is approved under Military Specification MIL-C-62218, Type I, QPL Reference Number AR-18-85.

- Provides galvanic corrosion protection
- Can be applied on battery terminals for insulating purposes
- Dry film is translucent and semi-firm
Corrosion Control Coating C1900 Rust Protection – Clear +
- Provides a flexible and abrasive resistant coating for superior protection against corrosion caused by moisture, salt and environmental pollutants.
- A high performance solvent borne coating for the entire under-carriage area of automotive vehicles, trucks and highway trailers.
- Contains no abrasive materials and is formulated with specially refined petroleum asphalt modified with special additives, and corrosion inhibitors.
- A very low odor product and can be applied with a low ratio airless spray system
Corrosion Control Coating C1900 Rust Protection – Black +
- Provides a flexible and abrasive resistant coating for superior protection against corrosion caused by moisture, salt and environmental pollutants.
- A high performance solvent borne coating for the entire under-carriage area of automotive vehicles, trucks and highway trailers.

WATER-BASED
Environmentally friendly rust preventives made with water-based emulsifiers and water-reclusible resins. Our water-based coatings are formulated to be low VOC, easy to apply, and provide excellent protection to metal surfaces.

Tectyl® 351S +
Designed for transportation equipment, trailer homes, modular homes, and the protection of sewage pipes. The cured film is firm, black, resilient, matte textured, and abrasion resistant.
- A waterborne, asphalt emulsion corrosion preventive compound
- Suitable for complete undercoating of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Provides sound deadening
Tectyl® 3335 +
Resists chipping, scratches and gravel marks normally seen on truck and trailer underbodies. Can be recoated with most urethane, acrylic or alkyd resin formulated automotive topcoats.
- A zero VOC, air-dry, waterborne corrosion preventive coating
- Designed for ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Provides excellent protection for most substrates including primers, e-coat and oily steel
Tectyl® 3344 Black +
TECTYL 3344 Black is a zero VOC, air-dry, waterborne corrosion preventive coating for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. TECTYL 3344 Black is formulated to provide excellent adhesion, hardness and durability to most substrates including primers, e-coat and oily steel. TECTYL 3344 is designed to resist chipping, scratches and gravel marks normally seen on truck and trailer underbodies. TECTYL 3344 can be recoated with most urethane, acrylic or alkyd resin formulated automotive topcoats.
Tectyl® 4033 +
The dry film is waxy and non-tacky. Recommended for use in the transportation industry as an undercoating for metal and wood surfaces.
- A water based, thixotropic, black corrosion preventive

Corrosion Control Coating C1900 Rust Protection WB – Clear +
- Waterborne rustproofing is formulated for use in applications requiring stringent air emission standards or where inadequate ventilation facilities and the low flash point of solvent-based products do not permit their use.
- It is a low V.O.C., dripless automotive rust preventative providing good adhesion and is ideally suited for interior recessed areas as well as exterior surfaces in automotive rust proofing.
- It cures to a semi-firm film and provides excellent long term corrosion protection to vehicle exterior, metal surfaces as well as inner cavity areas.
- No offensive odour.
Corrosion Control Coating C1900 Rust Protection WB – Black +

Corrosion Control Coating C2020A WB Undercoating +
- Offers all the performance features of solvent based products and with the added benefits of very low V.O.C. emissions and a high flash point allowing application where solvent borne products cannot be applied.
- A waterborne asphalt emulsion coating that provides excellent corrosion protection.
- Formulated for the undercarriage area for passenger vehicles, trucks, trailers, chassis frames and recreational vehicles.
- The film is firm when cured and provides for long-term road abrasion protection and sound dampening features as well.
- Very low V.O.C. emissions and below Federal, Provincial and U.S.A. Environmental Protection Agencies acceptable levels.
- No offensive odour.
